Speed and Power Clinic (Oct. 17th-20th)

7pm-8pm

It’s no secret that speed is king. The faster and more explosive athletes can create the time and space needed to dominate the game! Throughout this 4 day clinic, we show each athlete what they need to do to become faster and more powerful so they can create better opportunities for themselves in any sport!


We show them the proper way to set up a training session and show them what is important during a training session to build speed and power and what doesn't need to be included.


 Then we help them through the process of determining how much weight should be on the bar for a given set. We teach proper form and technique as well as giving them advice on when to go heavier and when to take some weight off the bar. We also use our Velocity Based Training Units (VBT Units) to measure barbell speed and over all acceleration metrics.


By using VBT, each athlete gets real time feed back after each rep and is able to adjust accordingly to maximize their results!  Our use of VBT is what sets us apart from other facilities and its why our athletes see such big improvements in speed and power! VBT is used in most college and Pro settings but from our work at the University of Pittsburgh, we learned how essential it is to the success or speed and power training, so we brought it to DSP!


Lets face it, they are not going to get a heck of a lot faster in these four days. However, we are going to teach them exactly what they need to do in order to see real results that last after their time with us is over!


With this clinic, you also get a 4 video virtual class that teaches programing at a level a kid can understand on how to get faster and more powerful! This way they have everything that we teaching them throughout this clinic for their own personal use, that they can go back to whenever they need a refresher! This sets them up for a life time of success in the gym and doing exactly what they need to do in order to get results! No more wasting time in the gym on exercise that aren't needed or a method that isn't truly getting you to your goal!


We also go over nutrition because you cant out train a bad diet! Those who sign up with the Speed and Power clinic will also receive our Performance Meal Plan! This meal plan teaches you how to eat correctly to get faster and stronger, and to also make sure that they always have the energy to perform!
